The only thing better then going for a ride in the mountains is getting to ride with my family. Today Grace and I rode from our house to Vasona Park on the Los Gatos Creek Trail. Grace had a blast running around free to play on whatever she wanted, swings, monkey bars, slides, and she even got to ride the old fashion carousel. Right before we packed up and headed home she took a face plant on the pavement… ouch! Kind of a sucky way to end a perfect day, at least she got a popsicle out of it.
After a long time out of the saddle, except for riding on the trainer, I dragged Joel off to Saratoga Gap. Now I remember why I moved to NorCal!
Last night I was out in the garage prepping my bike to go riding and Grace comes out and says “Oh Hi! What you doing?” I explained that I was getting my bike ready. So she proceeded to help. She went over to the tool kit and started playing with the crank pullers and tire levers. Then she went over to my bike and started turning the cranks backwards and forwards and pretending to adjust things here and there. Then when I went to pump my tires up she came over to help me. It’s times like these that make all the poopy diapers worth it…
